guiding principles of the NQF
"Children are successful, competent and capable learners"
We encourage children to learn through play based and child-centered learning
Our educators are guided by the Early Years Learning and Development Framework (EYLF) and the Victorian Early Years Learning and Developmental Framework (VELYDF) to nurture and support each child’s unique learning and developmental journey. We understand the vital role of family partnerships, and we create tailored learning experiences that align with each child’s strengths and interests, selecting appropriate teaching strategies to foster their growth.
We embrace cultural diversity and actively incorporate a multicultural perspective into our programming. Our educators are dedicated to maintaining flexible programs and routines that meet the diverse needs of the children and families at our center.

Incursions and Beach Exploration Program
We are fortunate to be located directly across from the local foreshore, which we utilize year-round through our beach exploration programs. These excursions give children the opportunity to investigate and discover the natural environment, learning about local flora and fauna through hands-on experiences. Nature play is crucial in the early years and fosters creativity, resilience, and a sense of wonder, helping children build a deeper connection to the world around them while supporting their overall development.
Each year, we collaborate with local community organisations and educational businesses to provide meaningful learning experiences that align with our educational program and reflect children’s interests, all at no additional cost to families. Some of the recent programs we’ve offered include:
- The Briars & Living Culture Cultural Walk
- CFA & Police Vistis
- Dental & Maternal Child Health Nurse Visits
- Beach Exploration Program and Local Pram Walk
- Little Woodworkers
- Swim, Pet and Road Safety Programs
- Henny Penny Hatchling Program
